About
The major objectives of the council are:
-
To help build long-term supportive relationships that cross racial and religious lines and signify our belief in being good neighbors for each other.
-
To foster ongoing cross-cultural communication both within the Council and the larger community.
-
To identify specific needs of various groups in the community.
-
To partner with church and community groups to foster joint, multi-racial, multi-religious charitable activities to help people of need in our community.
-
To build multi-ethnic leadership and encourage active participation by representatives of all groups in the civic and cultural life of St. Peter.
-
To encourage and support the celebration of the diversity of cultures within the St. Peter community.
-
To encourage community support for local St. Peter businesses, including minority-owned and operated enterprises.
-
To partner with the school and other agencies to educate St. Peter citizens about the history, culture, and contributions of our varying ethnic and religious groups.
Sharing conversations and stories connects people.
Our Mission
